	 2024\, so that's what we're celebrating! \n\nWe’ve never really talked ab
	out it\, but Altar Bar had a near-death experience.\nIn an effort to avoid
	 another closed-down Hobart venue\, we scoured Marketplace\,\nGowans and e
	very tip shop in the city\, and whipped upstairs into a new shape. We\nwra
	ngled some unforgettable personalities that now bring you trivia\, bingo +
	\nsome of the best free music in the CBD. \n\nThen you showed up\, and tha
	nks to that—we survived! You embrace our shitty (but\npretty) couches. You
	 have claimed your fave spot in the beer garden—and pocketed\nall our good
	 ash trays. You’ve tagged our bathrooms with sweet love notes. \n\nOh yeah
	\, and the band room is going off its chops recently\, thanks for your\nun
	dying love for live music!  So we’re throwing a party where both floors wi
	ll\nbe jam-packed with fun until the early hours!\n\nCelebrate with us—the
	 bar staff and venue managers\, the programming team\, our\nevent hosts an
